Philosophy of Counseling

My core values of Clinical Counseling is to advocate, empower and stand with genuineness with my clients and my community. As a mental health professional, I stand in a position to petition for the wellness of my community and promote healthy changes.

Wellness & Self-Care

Exploring my city!! I've been in Chicago about 7 months now and I am obsessed with all there is to discover!

Going on a coffee date with my partner followed by a  walk to the beach is the perfect day for me.

EVERYONE WATCHES WOMEN'S SPORTS!!

I love rooting on my Chicago Sky !

Current favorite hobbies: Coloring, working out, painting and playing tennis.

The link above is a personal reflection of how life-changing this journey has been to me professionally & personally.  Prioritizing my mental and physical health has become a high priority as I've grown in my Practicum, and something I would live to carry into my own practice with my clients.

Professional Mentorship

Professional mentorship is an important piece of maintaining a positive and growing practice as a counselor. Whether we are running into concerns with a client or pushing up against burnout, it is important to a village of professionals who you can network with and lean on for additional support and mutual support in the work we do. As I continue to grow in my practice as a professional counselor I am privileged to be a member of the ACA where I can connect to students and professionals all around the country that I plan to continue to engage with, as well as a close-knit network of counselors in the Chicago area! I've met so many great professionals already who's experience in the field continue to inspire me to gain more knowledge and expand my practice as I grow.

I look forward to what my professional village will look like years down the line!
